We have been busy over the past number of years creating bespoke camper van conversions for our customers and thought it was high time we shared some of our work with you.

We understand that people use campervans, caravans and motorhomes in different ways and for different uses, therefore Vanderlust offers bespoke van conversions to suit those needs. The Nissan Primastar, Renault Traffic or Opel Vivaro 2.0l diesel 115 bhp high roof is a fantastic van and we can vouch for this as we use them ourselves as our every day cars. If you are looking for a 2/3 berth camper with all the trimmings then this is the one for you. Extremely confortable to drive with air suspension seats, Cruise control and a very economical 2.2l 150 bhp diesel engine. The Mercedes sprinter is the rolls royce of vans and this model is the vehicle of choice for the discerning campervan enthusiast.

Fantastic little go anywhere 4x4 camper with the following spec

VW Caravelle

Built for a customer who had a vw caravelle and wanted the added benefits of being able to use the van for weekend fishing trips. We initally built a small kitchen pod which fitted into the floor rails and could be moved up and down the vehicle depending on were it was needed most. We then fitted an elevating roof so that they had standing height and a second double bed.

Great White

Mercedes Sprinter 315 2.2l 150 bhp Auto. This camper was converted for use by an avid golfer and his wife who use the van year road and make the most of their retirement. They have travelled throughout Europe in the camper and are deligthed with their purchase. The rear of the van can hold 4 golf bags and carts and all the other gear you might need for 18 holes.

Speedster

Peugeot Boxer 3.0l 160 bhp diesel. This van was my favorite to drive as it pulled like a train! Anyone looking for speed and comfort should consider one of these as their base vehicle. Full size double bed, shower and toilet, full kitchen and lots of storage space.

Fiat ducato LWB 2.2l Diesel

Tribal War

The brief for this van was that is had to have a kicking sound system and loads of space to chill in. As you can see from the layout there are 4 seats with 2 swivels in the front, kitchen behind this and a full sized double to the rear. The sound system is a full apline setup with 1000W sub, 8 speakers and 4 amps! Needless to say there are 2 batteries powering all of that so watch out for this one on the festy circuit or more than likely cruising the by roads of portugal!

DJ Doyle

Opel Movano 2.5l 120 bhp diesel. We built this van for a family who needed 5 seats, a ful kitchen, outdoor shower, double bed and plenty of awning space for outdoor living. The rear seats were supplied by the customer and will be upholstered at a later late.

VW T4

Vw transporter 2.5l TDI. This was one of our first conversions when we set up the workshop 3 years ago. We fitted a Reimo High roof and all the trimmings to make this a nice little usable camper. As you can see from the pics the R&R bed was one that the customer fabricated himself and it worked fine. Only snag is that it is not crash tested so no rear passengers allowed...

Tony

Renault Master 2.5 DCI 120 bhp MWB diesel. This camper was built for a couple who wanted a compact camper with a double bed, kitchen and a shower and toilet. We managed to fit everything in and it is a very usable camper and very suited to the small roads which it travels.

Colum

Nissan Interstar 2.5l 120 bhp diesel MWB. Built this camper for a customer with 3 young kids who wanted to take them off at weekends to explore the great outdoors and be able to use it on a daily basis hence the reason he went for a medium wheelbase van. The layout we can up with is 2 bunks at the back of the van and a pull out double behind the row of three seats in the front on the van. We also fitted a single removable seat in the rear with seatbelt.

IW Sprinter

We built this van for Ireland West Motorhomes, a rental company based in Mayo. Their brief was that the van could carry 4 people and sleep 4 people. I has 2 full size double beds, toilet, full kitchen and lots of storage.

The van was rented out most of last season and their customers were very happy with it.

PS1

Nissan Primastar 2l DCI 115 bhp. This was our first primastar conversion and we have been perfecting them ever since!

Redzer

VW T5 TDI 130 bhp diesel. This van had a Reimo High roof fitted and we then added a full camper conversion to it. Roof van sprayed to match the colour of the body. We used tambour doors for hard to access areas and solid wood counter top at the request of the customer.

Bullet

Fiat Ducato 2.0l diesel. This camper was built for Stephen Killfeather who is a pro surfer sponsered by Billabong. We wanted to be able to carry 3 passengers, all his boards, be able to cook and wash down wetsuits outside the van. No doubt you will see him ripping at a break near you!

Roof fitting

We fit elevating roofs, high roofs and we have partnered with a number of body builders so that we can offer full coachbuild services on request. These are just a few examples of roofs we have fitted. We only fit Reimo and SCA roofs.

Window fitting

We fit all types of windows and can supply and fit all types of van. We can supply Seitz sliding or hinged bonded windows and also a whole host of skylights and roof vents.

4x4 VW Transporter

VW Transporter 4 motion 2.5l TDI 130 bhp. This was my own surf van and I wanted it to look like a van from the outside but have all the comforts of a camper inside. The bumpers were colour coded and a nice set of wheels put on to set it off nicely. I also fitted an all important stereo for the obligatory sound track for my missions on the road!
